CaterAO Privacy Policy

CaterAO (Cater Any Occasion) is a catering marketplace and operations app. This Privacy Policy applies to people who use the app or related services as customers, vendors, agents, admins, website visitors, or support requesters.

• Account information such as name, mobile number, email address, password credentials, role, profile details, and communication preferences.
• Customer event and order information such as occasion type, date, guest count, delivery or service location, menu preferences, instructions, booking status, and support history.
• Vendor information such as business profile, contact details, menu items, pricing, service areas, availability, documents, order history, and payout or billing coordination data where applicable.
• Agent information such as assigned tasks, onboarding activity, field coordination notes, location-linked operational updates where enabled, and support interactions.
• Admin information such as login details, actions taken in the admin panel, platform settings, moderation activity, and support handling notes.
• Device and usage information such as device model, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, pages or screens viewed, and interaction events.
• Payment or transaction references where payments, refunds, invoices, commissions, or vendor settlements are enabled. Full card or bank details may be processed by payment providers and may not be stored by CaterAO.

CaterAO may collect approximate or precise location data when users allow location permission. Location data may be used to show nearby vendors, check service availability, estimate delivery or service feasibility, coordinate pickup or delivery, support agent field operations, prevent abuse, and help admins resolve operational issues.

The app may request foreground location access when a user is actively using location-based features. If background location is enabled in a future app version, CaterAO will request the required permission separately and disclose the purpose in the app and Google Play listing before collection.

Users can deny or disable location permissions in device settings. Some location-dependent features may not work properly without permission, but users may still enter addresses manually where the app supports it.

• Create, authenticate, secure, and manage customer, vendor, agent, and admin accounts.
• Process catering searches, event requirements, quotations, orders, cancellations, refunds, delivery or pickup coordination, and support requests.
• Enable vendor discovery, service-area matching, menu management, availability, agent coordination, and admin oversight.
• Send transactional notifications such as OTPs, booking updates, order status, support replies, policy notices, and security alerts.
• Improve app reliability, diagnose technical issues, prevent fraud or misuse, enforce policies, and comply with legal obligations.

Information may be shared between customers, vendors, agents, and admins as needed to complete catering requests and provide support. For example, a vendor may receive customer event details required to prepare an order, and an agent may receive vendor or order details needed for coordination.

Information may also be shared with hosting providers, analytics and crash-reporting providers, communication services, payment processors, mapping or location services, professional advisers, law enforcement, or regulators when necessary for service delivery, security, compliance, or legal requests.

CaterAO keeps personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Account deletion requests are handled through the process described on the Delete Account page.

Deleted accounts may be removed or de-identified from active systems after verification. Certain records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback, safety, legal, or regulatory reasons.

• Users may access or update profile information from the app where available.
• Users may manage device permissions such as location, camera, files, and notifications through device settings.
• Users may request correction, export, restriction, or deletion of eligible personal data by contacting support.
• Users may unsubscribe from non-essential communications where supported, while transactional messages may still be sent.

CaterAO is intended for business and consumer catering workflows and is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal information, they should contact support for review and deletion.

CaterAO uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No app, website, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

This policy may be updated to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, email, or other reasonable method.
